The long season of Lent is over, and our sorrow has been replaced with joy as we celebrate Jesus’ resurrection. Let’s express our gratitude for God over coming death and providing restoration and salvation to all!

As human beings we make mistakes and do all sorts of things that gets in the way of ourselves and others experiencing God’s love.  We want and need restoration in our relationship with God and each other.

This restoration was dramatically shown in God’s resurrection of Jesus. God can overcome all, even death, to bring us back into relationship with God and each other. This victory over death lets us know that God does not abandon us – ever. We are with God always and invited to a new life with God, now in this life and the next.

When we participate in worship, listen to scripture, ask for forgiveness and guidance, and receive the bread and wine in communion, we are drawn deeper into the life revealed by Jesus.

In Paul’s letter to the new believers in Rome he wrote, “For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8:38-39)

Through loving God and loving our neighbor, we join into a new life in the Risen Christ.  We can make the presence of God and God’s love clearer through our lives. Live with and express that joy!
